Okay Average Joes, here is a great tip submitted to us by one of our very own, Average John of the great state of Washington, who is a longtime friend and reader of the Average Joe Arbitrage blog.
Lowe’s, that mecca of home repair and do it yourself support, is offering veterans a whopping 10% off their bill as gratitude for their service to this great country of ours, the USA!
And, this offer appears to be for life!
The deal is simple and no Average Joe should pass it up. You have two crazy easy ways to sign up:
- Walk into Lowes with your DD214 and ID and saunter on up to the customer service desk, hold your head high and plop down your old DD214 and ask to be enrolled in the Veterans Military discount program. It takes about a minute and when you’re done, drop and give the customer representative 20 pushups and loud “airborne!” to demonstrate your gratitude for 10% off your purchases.
- Follow the link to the Lowes Military Discount program and sign up from the comfort of your home. You can still do the 20 pushups and sound off with a resounding “airborne!”
Of course there is some fine print. No double matching discounts, not redeemable for cash, cannot be combined, etc., etc. You go ahead and read the fine print, there is always some fine print.
Once your account is created, you simply use your phone number to access it and up pops the discount on eligible purchases.
This is a great offer for all of us Average Joes who served with pride and honor. And, we owe Lowes a mighty thank you!
Hey, if you got a great idea on how the Average Joes can save some money, take awesome trips, and lead an above average life, send them our way. You just might get something cool in return!
